Learning Recommendations: Completion of Ceramics Art 1Ceramics Art 2 and Ceramics Art 3.

General Description: Ceramics 4 is designed for serious 3D art students seeking to refine their technical skills and develop a personal artistic voice. Students will create original works of art that demonstrate advanced mastery of the elements and principles of art. Emphasis will be placed on completing a cohesive portfolio that reflects each student’s unique style and conceptual growth.

Content: Students will engage in:

  • Advanced techniques in ceramics and sculpture.
  • Developing individualized styles through a variety of creative prompts.
  • Maintaining a sketchbook to document their creative process and references.
  • Peer and self-evaluations to enhance the quality of final projects.

Homework: Students should plan for 1–4 hours of homework per week. Assignments may include finishing projects, gathering picture references, and sketching project ideas.
