General Description: Students will learn about the building blocks of the web and how to use them to create for a variety of different purposes. They will learn to construct web sites using current HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other frameworks. Students build a variety of different kinds of websites for different purposes and have the skills to maintain, update, and use their websites throughout their educational careers and beyond. Students will also learn appropriate and ethical uses of AI relevant to this course. Whether you're an artist, designer, programmer, marketer, entrepreneur, or just interested in the Internet, websites are a fantastic and flexible modern medium that this course will teach you how to create.

Content: 

  • Create web pages using HTML
  • Use HTML tags to create hyperlinks, embed images, and provide standard web features
  • Use CSS to specify fonts, colors, and formatting
  • Create web sites containing multiple pages
  • Create multi-page websites utilizing modern development languages/software

Homework: Completion of assignments not finished during class time.
