IB Spanish SL - FO670A/B

Learning Recommendations: Completion of Spanish 3 or equivalent is required. Students should have a solid understanding of all simple and complex tenses, including the subjunctive mood.

General Description: IB Spanish SL is a yearlong course focused on advancing students' communication skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in preparation for the IB Spanish Standard Level exam. Conducted entirely in Spanish, the course immerses students in the language, encouraging fluency and cultural understanding. The course is designed for self-motivated, linguistically competent students who are prepared to engage in Spanish without using English.

Homework: Approximately 3-4 hours per week, with tasks including reading, writing, and preparation for discussions or presentations.

Course Fees / Materials: Course fees may apply; plus IB exam fee. Financial assistance for fees is available through the ASB bookkeeper or counselor if needed.
