General Description: IB Mandarin Chinese HL is an advanced, yearlong course that builds upon IB Mandarin Chinese SL, preparing students for the Higher Level IB exam. With a focus on extended conversation, analysis of literary texts, and thematic discussions, the course enhances fluency and comprehension through research, essay writing, and discussion of various contemporary topics. Instruction is exclusively in Mandarin, emphasizing students' ability to interact conversationally without relying on English.
