General Description: This semester-long graduation requirement covers a variety of health related topics that affect teens today. The course encourages students to develop healthful attitudes and practices for life-long benefit through various facets of health including physical, emotional, mental, social and community.  As a part of the Health course curriculum students will be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and in First Aid. Students will also learn about HIV/AIDS and Human Sexuality through the Family Life and Sexual Health curriculum (FLASH). Students earn the American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/AED & First Aid card after completing the certification process.
