Introduction to Computer Science (Python) - INT246

General Description: This course can be taken instead of the Introduction to Computer Science course. In this course students will learn and practice programming techniques using Python, a text-based programming language. The students will develop their Computational Thinking (CT) skills through hands-on projects. Students will be introduced to Object Oriented Programming techniques that will equip them to pursue advanced programming platforms in their future academic or professional careers. Students will apply leadership, project management and career preparation skills while working on projects.

Content: 

  • The universal concepts of computer programming.
  • The syntax and semantics of the Python language.
  • Practical skills in resolving typical implementation challenges.
  • How to design, develop, test, and debug Python programs.

Homework: Complete assignments not finished during class.
