Learning Recommendations: Successful completion of Woods Technology 1 and Algebra 1 or equivalent.

General Description: This is a comprehensive course in advanced woodworking skills and techniques. Planning and designing guitars will be explored. Required project(s) are assigned and a large section of time will be set aside for students to select and produce a guitar. This course emphasizes science, technology, engineering and mathematical principles in the design of a guitar.

Content: 

  • Lab and equipment safety
  • Multiple hand and power tools
  • Large stationary power tools
  • Careers in woodworking construction, industrial trends, post-high school education requirements for various career-related employment trades

Homework: Complete assignments not finished during class.
