Police Science/Forensics 2 - INT476

Learning Recommendations: An interest in crime scene investigation methods, problem-solving, and teamwork. While students are encouraged to complete Police Science/Forensics 1, it is not required.

General Description: This course builds on the foundational knowledge gained in Police Science/Forensics 1 by taking our learning to more advanced levels. Students will continue to explore a variety of forensic techniques and apply them to realistic investigations. There is more focus this semester on high profile crimes that have been covered by the media and provide excellent case studies to apply the course learning. Students will also focus on employable skills such as professionalism and teamwork, as this is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) course.

  • Blood Stain Analysis
  • Forensic Engineering (Accident Investigations)
  • Arson & Fire Investigations
  • Forensic Pathology
  • Forensic Anthropology/Osteology
  • Entomology
  • New Developments in Forensic Science

Homework: There is no homework assigned for this class. However, some students require additional time for in-class assignments and finish them at home.
