General Description: Pre-SL Math is the first of a two-year sequence with IB Math SL designed to prepare students for the IB Standard Level (SL) Math exam in May of the second year. This course is tailored for students interested in mathematics but not necessarily pursuing a STEM major. Mastery of this course content will prepare students to enter college-level calculus.

• Sequences and finite series
• Properties of exponents and logarithms
• Functions and their properties
• Modeling with functions
• Trigonometric functions
• Other pre-calculus fundamentals foundational to the second year of the course

Homework: Regular assignments to reinforce classroom learning and practical applications.
