General Description: Advanced Mixed Choir is a year-long elective designed for soprano, alto, tenor, and bass voices in grades 9-12. This performance ensemble is selected through auditions, and emphasizes vocal technique, music literacy, aural skills, and ensemble singing. Students participate in concerts and additional performance opportunities throughout the year.

Content: 

• Students perform a variety of choral styles
• Development of individual vocal technique, music literacy, and aural skills
• Preparation for festivals, concerts, and other performances

Homework: Homework related to performance of a variety of music styles, individual vocal technique, music literacy, and aural skills.
