Learning Recommendations: Successful completion of 9th Grade World History and Global Studies is recommended.

General Description: US History Block is a yearlong course that integrates English and Social Studies disciplines, taught in conjunction with IB English: Language and Literature SL (Block). The Social Studies portion reviews the economic, social, and political developments of the United States, with an emphasis on the 20th century. This course aims to develop critical thinking, note-taking, and written and oral language skills through the use of primary and secondary documents and history texts.
