General Description: AP Psychology is a year-long course that provides an in-depth introduction to the field of psychology, following the College Board's curriculum. The course is designed to mirror a college-level introductory psychology class, emphasizing the scientific study of behavior and mental processes in both humans and animals. Students will explore major psychological subfields and learn about the research methods and ethical standards that guide psychological practice.

Content: The course covers a variety of topics in psychology, including:

• History and approaches to psychology
• Careers in psychology
• Research methods and statistics

• Sensation and perception
• Cognition
• Developmental psychology
