General Description: This semester-long course examines the interconnected challenges facing our global community through interdisciplinary perspectives. Students will analyze how global themes influence modern societies, affect individuals, and contribute to complex issues that demand both local and international solutions. The course fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and active engagement with real-world problems.

Content: 

  • Exploration of global perspectives and cultural lenses
  • The impact of globalization on societies and economies
  • Analysis of global conflicts and strategies for resolution
  • Study of human rights movements and activism around the world
  • Student-led inquiry projects focused on current global issues

Homework: Homework will include preparatory readings for discussions, writing assignments, research projects, and group work.
