General Description: This course introduces students to the study of human behavior in society by developing a sociological imagination, which helps students understand how political, economic, and cultural forces shape social life. Sociology examines both small-scale social interactions (microsociology) and large-scale social processes and structures (macrosociology). Students will explore how individuals' lives are situated within broader social contexts and how these contexts influence behavior and social outcomes.
