General Description: This semester-long course provides an overview of economics, focusing on how individuals and governments make decisions about the allocation of scarce resources. Students will explore economic reasoning and the role of people as consumers, producers, savers, investors, and government actors. Key topics include scarcity, supply and demand, market structures, the role of government, national income, financial institutions, economic stabilization, and trade.
