Children six months and older can now get the COVID-19 vaccine. Over the weekend, Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines were authorized for emergency use.
Vaccine sites in King County are awaiting supplies and shifting operations to serve the youngest patients, so not all vaccine locations will be immediately ready to give vaccinations to this age group. Vaccination should be available more readily after a couple of weeks. Check kingcounty.gov/vaccine for updates and to schedule appointments.
King County currently expects that the earliest Public Health sites will be able to vaccinate the youngest age group will be June 23-24.
Further information on the COVID-19 vaccine can be found on King County’s Getting vaccinated in King County webpage.
