Family Partnership Event Jan. 15: High School Pathways, Graduation Requirements
The Family Partnerships Team will facilitate a virtual event to inform families new to the U.S. high school system about high school graduation requirements and planning.
- January 15, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. via Zoom. Register to receive the Zoom link.
In the United States, students are the ones deciding what courses and pathways to take to graduate. There are many options to explore their interests as they plan for their post-high school journey. At school, students are provided with guidance in making those decisions.
Topics covered during the event include:
- U.S. High School Philosophy
- Post-High School Planning for students in school
- High School and Beyond Plan in the ISD
- What guidance is provided in school for post-high school planning in the secondary schools.
- Graduation Pathways for High School students in Washington State
ISD staff will be available to answer questions at the end of the session.
Sessions will be in English, Spanish, and Chinese. Sessions in other languages will be scheduled at a later date.
