upcoming events

High school students: don't forget to sign up for Great Careers taking place on Tuesday, March 3 at Lake Washington Institute of Technology.

Great Careers is designed to help high school students explore potential careers that can be pursued through the following post-high school pathways: apprenticeships, certifications and licenses, military service, trade or technical programs, two-year college programs, or entering the workforce after graduation.

The event includes a tour of the facility, highlighting some programs they offer. Students will also interact with exhibitors, such as local companies, educational institutions, and training programs. This year, professional headshots and a career exploration drop-in session will also be available. The event is FREE to attend. Lunch and transportation are provided.

Spots are limited, so sign up soon! Permission forms are due Tuesday, February 24. Students can visit their College & Career Center or the event webpage to learn more and get a permission form.

Are you interested in being an exhibitor at Great Careers? Visit the exhibitor registration website if you own or work for a local organization that would like to talk with students about careers that can be pursued through any of the following post-high school pathways: apprenticeships, certifications and licenses, military service, trade or technical programs, two-year college programs, or entering the workforce. Keep in mind, this is not a Hiring Fair; it is an exploration event providing students with the opportunity to learn more about a variety of careers.

The flyer is available translated into 8 languages online.
