ISD Summer School 2026: In Person and Online Options

We are excited to share information about ISD Summer School 2026 (in person and online options).  

Our summer program is designed to provide a focused, student-centered learning experience that supports student well-being and allows students to complete coursework at a manageable pace. For 2026, we will offer select classes in person and online to ensure high-quality instruction for students.  

In-Person Summer School offerings are for:  

  • Students who failed a course(s)/need credit recovery 
  • Students who did not take Washington State History 
  • Incoming 9th grade students enrolling in Bridge to Algebra 
  • Students served on an IEP or 504 accommodations seeking grade improvement 
  • Students struggling to fit PE into their class schedule during the school year.  

Dates: July 6 – July 31; 5 Days per Week; no remote instruction/livestreaming 

Location: Issaquah High School 

Transportation: ISD-provided transportation is available with limited routes and stops for students registered in 2-3 classes.  

Cost: $425 per course; Incoming 9th grade Bridge to Algebra – FREE 

Scholarships available  

Class Times: 

  • 1st Period 8:00 a.m. - 9:20 a.m. 
  • Breakfast 9:20 a.m. - 9:35 a.m. 
  • 2nd Period 9:35 a.m. - 10:55 a.m. 
  • 3rd Period 11:05 a.m. - 12:25 p.m. 

Students can enroll in up to three summer school courses in total. Preferred class times are not a guarantee. The Bridge to Algebra class spans across first and second periods.  

Online Summer School Offerings: 

Online Health (Grades 8-12) 

  • Meets Health graduation requirement; 0.5 credit 
  • No CTE (Career and Technical Education) credit awarded 

Online CTE Courses (Grades 9-12) 

  • Introduction to Computer Science – 0.5 credit 
  • Introduction to Culinary Arts – 0.5 credit 
  • Future Ready – 0.5 credit 
  • CTE credit granted for each course 

All Online 5th grade and middle school level courses (grades 5-8) 

These are the only classes that will be offered for online summer school 2026. 

Online Program Details: June 15-July 13, 2026 

  • Application Opens: March 2, 2026 
  • Application Closes: June 5, 2026 
    • No in-person testing 
    • Students may use a personal laptop or desktop  
    • Maximum of one online course
