Learn What February Bond Would Fund Via Events, Fact Sheet

King County will mail ballots next week to all registered voters for the February 11 Special Election, which includes Proposition 1 to help fund projects related to school safety, security and easing overcrowding at the high school level. The February bond is a 63% reduction from the November measure, which did not pass; the updated bond proposal would meet only the district's most immediate needs. Ways to learn more include:

Upcoming Events: In-person and Virtual

  • Issaquah PTSA Council hosts Bond Information Sessions: 10-11 a.m. or 7:30-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15 via Zoom. Session will be led by PTSA Council leaders, and attended by Superintendent Heather Tow-Yick and Chief of Finance and Operations Martin Turney. To receive the Zoom link, fill out the registration form.
     
  • "Funding Our Schools Forum: A Community Conversation on Budgeting, Capital Projects and Oversight" on Tuesday, January 21 from 6-7 p.m. in the library at Cougar Mountain Middle School. This event will be hosted by Superintendent Heather Tow-Yick and Chief of Finance and Operations Martin Turney.
     
  • School Board Town Hall: 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 23. This event is hosted by the Issaquah School Board Directors in the boardroom at the District Administration Building and also offers a virtual option to attend via Zoom.
