Levy Development Committee Continues its Work

Election - Levy Focus Announcement

Just before winter break, the district's Levy Development Committee members gathered for the second of five scheduled meetings, continuing their work to review the springboard package for three potential levy measures. The committee includes more than 40 community members and district staff, and will make recommendations to Superintendent Ron Thiele, who will submit a final package to the School Board for consideration.

Each of the potential measures would replace existing levies. They include an Educational Programs and Operations Levy (EP&O), a Transportation (bus) Levy, and a Capital Levy.

At their first meeting on Dec. 2, the committee members listened to presentations about the EP&O levy and the Transportation Levy, and asked questions. At their Dec. 14 meeting, the committee heard about the proposed Capital Levy and asked questions. The next meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6. Please check our website for potential updates about the location of the meeting.

We will continue to share details about the proposed levy measures as the committee continues its work.
