MySchoolBucks Rescinds Extra Fee; Refunds Families

In mid-November, our vendor MySchoolBucks.com began charging families a program fee of $2.50 in addition to the $2.75 convenience fee to add money to their students’ accounts in the months of November and December. They said that their change was driven by increased operational costs for delivering their services; it was neither initiated by nor approved by the district.

After district employees negotiated with MySchoolBucks, the company agreed to remove the new fee and refund families that have already paid it.
