Parenting with Courage, Connection: En Español
In collaboration with Belong Partners, the district will host a three-session series of "Parenting with Courage and Connection" on May 7, 14 and 21, from 6-8 p.m. at Maywood Middle School, 14490 168th Ave. S.E., Renton. Food will be provided. All three sessions are in Spanish. There is no cost to attend.
To register, please fill out this form. Any parents/guardians with students in the Issaquah School District are welcome to attend.
These sessions will offer tools and strategies to address your biggest challenges as a parent or caregiver. The strategies are designed to help you:
- Manage your own emotions, so that you interact with your children in a way that strengthens your relationship.
- Understand basic child development and brain science, which gives you science-backed and developmentally appropriate approaches to address challenging behavior at home.
- Discipline with kindness and firmness, so your kids understand and respect limits.
- Build community with other parents.
The three sessions build on one another. Please plan to join all three sessions.
