School Board, Superintendent Share Response to Passing of Senator Bill Ramos
The Issaquah School Board and Superintendent Heather Tow-Yick issued a statement about the passing of Senator Bill Ramos.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Senator Bill Ramos. For nearly a decade, Senator Ramos admirably served the students, families and staff of the Issaquah School District starting as a City Councilmember in Issaquah and throughout his years in the State Legislature. Just recently, our Student Representatives to the School Board met with Senator Ramos in Olympia and he engaged in a policy discussion with our student leaders that reflected his commitment to working on behalf of the community. We will greatly miss his leadership and partnership. We are holding his wife, King County Councilmember Sarah Perry, and the Ramos family in our hearts and minds.”
