State of the District: Tow-Yick Shares During Annual Event
Superintendent Heather Tow-Yick was grateful to have the opportunity to talk with community members and business leaders during the annual State of the City Breakfast hosted by the Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce. The event also included updates from Mayor Mary Lou Pauly and Police Chief Paula Schwan.
Tow-Yick opened her remarks with a land acknowledgement, highlighted the district's mission and vision, and shared recent successes, challenges and partnerships. She gave an update on the district's Strategic Plan, and offered an overview of Proposition 1, the school bond measure on the February 11 Special Election ballot. The measure was refined using community feedback; it addresses the district's most immediate needs regarding safety, security and high school overcrowding.
The presentation is available to review on our website.
