SUN Bucks (Summer EBT) Helps Families Buy Groceries This Summer

Meals Icon

SUN Bucks, also called Summer EBT, is a program that helps families buy food for their school-aged children when school is out for the summer. Each eligible child can receive a one-time benefit of $120 to help pay for groceries. This program works alongside other summer meal programs to make sure kids have enough to eat.

Some students will get SUN Bucks automatically. This may happen if your child already qualifies for free or reduced-price meals at school, or if your family receives benefits such as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) or TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families). Other families can still qualify by filling out a free or reduced-price meal application and meeting income guidelines.

If you have questions about SUN Bucks or your benefits, you can call the SUN Bucks Contact Center at 833-543-3230. For help with eligibility or applying, please contact Issaquah School District Food Services at 425-837-5060 or email Amie Garcia.
