Superintendent Update: Levy Measures Cover Funding Gaps

Superintendent Updates

The existing levy measures that help support Issaquah School District students, staff and community members will expire by the end of 2026 unless they are renewed by voters on the February 10, 2026 ballot.

In today's Community Update video, Student Representative to the School Board Ava Datta and Superintendent Heather Tow-Yick share about the three levy proposals on the ballot. The Educational Programs and Operations (EP&O) Levy provides more than $70 million that helps the district employ more than 400 staff members across the district. These positions and programs directly support students, from sports and activities to Special Education, mental health counselors, safety and security, critical repairs, technology, transportation and more.

The levy proposals do not provide any funding for constructing new schools. If the measures are approved by voters, the estimated total combined tax rate for Issaquah School District is projected to remain stable at the current rate.
