Superintendent: Teacher Appreciation, Sustainability, New School

Superintendent Updates

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Superintendent Heather Tow-Yick celebrates our dedicated educators, highlights major operational milestones, including a 4% reduction in waste and 100,000 fewer bus miles traveled in the school year. These efforts recently earned the district national recognition and a $5,000 grant from the National School Board Association for excellence in energy efficiency and indoor air quality.

We’re also looking ahead as construction begins on our newest high school to ease overcrowding by 2027, and we are excited to announce that new favorites like Bell’s Thai Curry will officially return to menus next year. We're working hard to finish the school year strong with sustainability and student choice at the forefront!

Please tune in to hear directly from Superintendent Tow-Yick!
