Transportation Office Shares Reminders for Families

Transportation

Hello Bus Families,

As sunny weather is upon us, we are sending a reminder to our bus riding families of students in kindergarten, ECEAP, preschool, Transition to Kindergarten, and bus riders with special needs about Mandatory Release Forms and meeting your student at the bus stop for drop off.

It is mandatory for your student to have a release form on file with Transportation. Any person authorized to receive your student, including parents and siblings, must be listed on a release form that is signed by you as parents/caregivers. Whoever meets your student at the bus stop (you or the person authorized to receive your student) should be prepared with photo ID in the event of a substitute bus driver or any other reason we may need to verify identity. Please remember that you should be waiting at the bus stop and not in your car or home for the arrival of your student. If you previously opted for the school bus driver to release your student without an authorized person present, we will continue to do so.
