Update About Food Service Low, Negative Balance Notifications

In recent years, our Food Service team has sent automated email messages to families with low balances or negative balances in their student’s meal accounts. We recently discovered an unexpected interruption in our automated low and negative meal account balance e-mails, which have not been delivering to families in recent months.

The problem has been corrected and our messages have resumed as scheduled. Negative balance notifications are sent once per week on Monday evenings and low balance notifications once per week on Wednesday evenings. The notifications are not scheduled to go out when school is not in session during breaks.

The automated notification system is designed to e-mail the primary guardian’s address on file in Skyward (Qmlativ) Family Access, in their preferred language.

Parents and caregivers may add funds to their student’s account through our online payment system (MySchoolBucks.com), by check, or by cash at the school office or cafeteria.

if you believe your household may qualify for meal benefits, we strongly encourage you to apply for free or reduced-price meals. Applications are confidential and available online or in printable form on our website.

If your student qualifies for free or reduced meals and you receive a negative balance e-mail, it is possible that the account was in arrears before the benefits were issued. Please note that approval does not forgive or eliminate any existing negative balance, and families remain responsible for payment of previously accrued charges.
