Voting Facts
- School levies in Washington require a simple majority (50 percent plus one vote) to pass.
- All voting in Washington is done by mail.
Timeline
- January 21, 2026: King County Elections mails ballots to homes of registered voters.
- January 22, 2026: Ballot drop boxes open
- February 2, 2026: Deadline to register or update your voter registration online or by mail.
- Tuesday, February 10, 2026: Election Day — Last day to register in person. Ballots must be postmarked or returned to a King County Elections drop box by 8 p.m.

Remember to Vote
We encourage all registered voters to vote. If you vote by mail, ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day. Or you may turn in your mail ballot on or before Election Day at a ballot drop-off location. See a list of ballot drop-off locations in King County.
