Issaquah Middle School is located just north of Issaquah High School, creating a 54 acre academic campus for students in grade 6-12. The school opened September 2016. The adjacency of the two schools offers numerous program, curriculum and functional advantages. The middle school services as enrollment of (900+) students with space reserved for 8 portable classrooms. Future expansion to accommodate the projected growth within the district core area is included in the master site plan. Related site work included a bus loop which shares with the high school, parking, and loading area. Construction of a new playfield with artificial turf and rubber surfaced track began summer 2017.
