Name The New High School — Recommendation Form
Help name the New High School!
We’re inviting students, families, staff and community members to share ideas for the name, mascot and colors of Issaquah’s new high school.
Suggestions will be reviewed as part of the district’s naming process, with the School Board making the final decision.
Process:
1. Survey 1: Share Ideas
September 28 - October14, 2026:
Community members submit school name, mascot and color suggestions through an online survey.
2. Review & Refine
The New High School Core Team, Advisory Committee and district leadership review the most-supported suggestions using the district's naming guidelines and community feedback.
3. Survey 2: Rank Choices
Late October/Early November:
A shortlist of potential school names and mascots is developed for further community consideration. The community reviews the shortlist and provides additional input by ranking the proposed options online and/or in-person during the High School Event at Pickering Barn on October 21, 2026.
4. Board Selection
November 12, 2026:
Committee reviews community feedback and presents its recommendations to the School Board, which selects the final school name and mascot.
