Program Details

There are several ways you can complete high school at RTC:

  • High School Diploma for over 18 – a WA State high school diploma for people over 18.  It takes into account your life and work experience as well as prior credits you may have.
  • GED Preparation – The GED is equivalent to a high school diploma.  Classes prepare you for the online tests.  It can also be a gateway to your high school diploma.
  • Youth High School Completion (16-20) – a WA State high school diploma for students under 21.  Students attend classes at the college or online for credit.

Program Details FREE! Offers a tuition-free, individualized, public high school experience in an online environment. Loaner laptops are available for eligible students. Insight School of Washington is authorized by the Quillayute Valley School District and a K12 partner program.

Program Details FREE! Education and vocational training program that helps young people learn a career and earn a high school diploma. While enrolled, students receive housing, basic medical needs, living allowance and education. Info sessions every Tuesday at 2 pm.

Lake Washington Technical Academy (Lake Washington Institute of Technology)

Program Details LWTA offers eligible high school junior and senior students the opportunity to train for a career while earning a high school diploma. Adult High School Completion (Lake Washington Institute of Technology)

Program Details Students can earn their diploma through competency-based skills courses or by taking college-level classes to complete missing graduation requirements from high school.

Pacific Northwest Connections Academy

Are you 16-21 years old and not currently enrolled in high school and want to get a degree or certificate? Are you motivated and ready for a change? If so, CEO may be the right youth re-engagement program for you! The Career Education Options program is designed for students aged 16-21, without a high school diploma, to receive an education and job skills at BC. This program provides students with a second chance at their education, and will provide tools to succeed in the college environment.

Center for High School Programs – CEO: 425-564-2026

Program Details

Providing services and support for English language learners who want to get a high school diploma and more.

The program enables students to learn academic English and work toward an AA degree, GED, high school diploma or professional/technical certificate while receiving wrap-around services and support in order to achieve their educational goals.

Requirements
  • 16 – 21 years of age (must be 16 on or before Sept. 1)
  • Behind in credits for age or grade level, and/or
  • At risk of dropping out of high school

High School Completion Program (Bellevue College)

Program Details High School+ (HS+) is a competency-based high school equivalency program for adult learners 18 and older who do not have a high school diploma or equivalency. Adults demonstrate competencies in reading, writing and math contextualized in science, social studies, and other areas. This program has morning, evening and on-line classes for students. Courses include competency-based assessments that demonstrate the academic, career and personal proficiency needed in further education and employment. Students are eligible for basic skills tuition rates.

Washington Virtual Academy (WAVA)

Washington Youth ChalleNGe Academy (WYCA)

Program Details FREE! The Washington Youth ChalleNGe Academy (WYCA) is part of the National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program and is a state-run residential (5.5 months) and post-residential (2-year) program for youth 15.5-18 years old who have dropped out of high school or are at risk due to credit deficiency and other risk factors. The WYCA holds two classes each year, starting in January and July. Upcoming Zoom Information Session.

Program Details FREE! Provides academic instruction for students whose goal is to obtain their GED. Students learn financial literacy and participate in the Center’s life skill activities. Workshops are available to help with resumes, job searches, applications, and interviews. WorkSource also provides assistance with college applications and the FAFSA, as well as offering counseling services. GED orientations every Monday at 1 pm.
Locations include Redmond, Bellevue College, Renton Technical College, Lake Washington Tech, King County Library Renton, and Puget Sound Training Center Renton.
