2026 National Merit $2,500 Scholarship Winners Announced

Congratulations National Merit Scholarship Recipients with photos of five students.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®) recently announced this year’s National Merit $2,500 Scholarship winners. The 2,500 Merit Scholar designees were chosen from a talent pool of more than 15,000 outstanding Finalists in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Congratulations to three ISD students on being named National Merit $2500 Scholarship winners:

  • Aditya Gupta, Issaquah High School: Probable career field: Science/Research
     
  • Divitt Jain, Issaquah High School: Probable career field: Economics
     
  • Sneha H. Moudgalya, Skyline High School: Probable career field: Computer Engineering

In addition, on April 22, the following ISD students were named as National Merit Corporate-Sponsored Scholarship winners, with awards ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 per year.

  • Anca Grigoroscuta, Skyline High School: Probable career field: Medicine, National Merit Sogeti USA Scholarship
     
  • Chloe E. Zhu, Skyline High School: Probable career field: Finance, National Merit Nvidia Corporation Scholarship

Later this year, On June 3 and July 13, some 3,500 college-sponsored Merit Scholarship winners will be announced.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition among high school students for recognition and college undergraduate scholarships that began in 1955. The program is conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®), a not-for-profit organization that operates without government assistance. United States high school students enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), which serves as an initial screen of over 1.3 million entrants each year, and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.
