Across the Issaquah School District, school meals are getting a flavorful update. 🍛

At Issaquah Middle School, baker Bell Perry shared her Thai yellow curry recipe, now adapted and served in cafeterias after student taste tests and careful menu development by our Food Services team. Her dish joins two other new additions this year: Lorna's Indian dal and Japanese gyoza soup, each reflecting the diverse backgrounds and tastes of our school community.

This work was supported by an OSPI grant focused on expanding culturally inclusive school meals, helping bring more variety and representation to students’ lunch experiences. ✨
