🦅Issaquah High School 🦅
The Counseling Team said "Thank you to all of the people who truly keep this building running. Your hard work, dedication, knowledge, and kindness are so appreciated and none of us could do our jobs without you. Issaquah High School is so lucky to have such an amazing group of people supporting us and students every day."
They continued:
💜Custodians – Our custodians are so hard working and kind. They are quick to respond when anything is needed in the building.
💜Kitchen – The kitchen staff are so sweet and friendly. They make lunch fun and enjoyable.
💜Landscape – Kase keeps our school grounds looking awesome. After the storm we had so much debris and downed trees. It quickly looked like nothing had happened at all.
💜Main Office and Counseling – These ladies keep the school running and we couldn’t do it without them. They’ve all been employees at Issaquah for a long time, work so well together, and make it a joy to come to work.
💜Nurses – Our Health room staff are so gentle and sweet with all the students. They always welcome you and are there to help you right away.
💜Paras – We have so many amazing paras, even though only 3 are in the picture, that help the teacher and students. Student needs wouldn’t be met without them, and they work so hard to help all the students.

🟢We appreciate the way that our office professionals (Joan, Jen, Mythili, Cristina, and Kris) serve as warm and welcoming faces for students, families, and staff when they need support! They are quick to offer assistance when a student needs help with a locker, a parent needs help registering for school, or a staff member needs help purchasing items - they help everyone have an amazing experience at school!
🟢Our tech specialist (Garrett) is a wonderful resource for our staff members - especially as we recently had the opportunity to get new interactive TVs and document cameras installed in our classrooms! He is quick to follow up with staff and ensure that everyone has what they need in order to be able to focus on teaching and learning!
🟢Our health room staff (Nina and Gretchen) make sure that our students always feel comfortable when they come into the health room for care. They are kind, compassionate, and attentive to the needs of our students!
🟢Our custodial team (Vern, Nghi, Mike, and Anthony) work to keep our beautiful campus clean and organized for all to enjoy! We are grateful for the many transitions they support throughout the day - from breakfast and lunch to sports activities and after school events!
🟢Our paraprofessionals (Sabrina, Laura, Angela, Megan, Nissi, Dakota, Melanie, Hiruni, Lori, Usha, and Merrily) are essential members of our team, assisting with everything from crosswalk safety and lunch supervision to assisting students in classrooms as well as the quiet testing room – their dedication to our community helps our students feel a sense of support and connection at school every day.
🟢Our food services staff (Jill, Tikko, Victoria, and Mary) is committed to all of our students receiving nutritious meals at school daily! Our students (and staff) enjoy the delicious options that they prepare for breakfast and lunch – which fuel everyone for success at school!
🟢Our bus drivers work hard to build relationships with our students and offer encouragement in their everyday interactions! We are grateful for the consistency that they provide, because thanks to their efforts our students arrive on time and ready to learn!
🟢Our security safety officer (Mike) helps our school community by connecting with students, sharing safety expertise, and providing assistance for supervision throughout the school day!
🟢Our family partnership liaison (Lina) assists families with understanding how we can best be partners in their student’s school experience! We are so happy to have her at our school site each week and appreciate her proactive communication with families to help us work together!
