Many of our students would not be able to attend school safely if it weren’t for our school nurse and health room specialist teams throughout the district. Today, May 8, is National School Nurse Day, and we hope you’ll join us in thanking them for using their expertise to care for our students (and staff) all year through.
“Our nurses take the time to build a special relationship with their students to ensure they are safe, healthy and can access their education,” said Laura Carmichael, Director of Health Services. “I am continually impressed at how well they know each student, what they need and how best to serve them. Our nurses really are amazing and make such a difference in the lives of ISD students and families.”
Here are highlights of some of our excellent nurses and health room specialists from across the district.
