Issaquah Valley Elementary’s Election Day brought excitement and learning together as students cast votes to decide on the upcoming Spirit Week themes! After participating in a mock primary election within their classrooms to narrow down their favorite theme options, students were eager to make their final choices.

Decade Day Buddy Day

On Election Day, each class visited a polling station, where six booths awaited the young voters. With individual ballots in hand, students chose between Option A or Option B by dropping their ticket into the designated box. After voting, students received a stamp and a sticker, proudly displaying their involvement in the event.

Staff at IVE did an amazing job putting this event together. As students wrapped up their Election Day experience, they left the polling station with a strong sense of pride, excited to have participated in a real decision-making process. Students showed their excitement as they placed their votes, clearly energized by the chance to contribute to a schoolwide event. Regardless of whether they chose Option A or Option B, students walked away with a new appreciation for voting—and the knowledge that their opinions truly mattered in shaping the Spirit Week ahead!
