February 5-9 is recognized as National School Counseling Week, and we’re shining the spotlight on the teams of staff members who help support our students (and families) all throughout the year. If you have the opportunity this week, please thank your student’s counselor for their work!
Noah Westerberg, director of Counseling and Student Well-Being, wished all of the school counselors a happy National School Counseling Week. “Thank you for everything you do to support our students, families and community,” Westerberg said. “I am grateful to be working with such a devoted, talented and caring team. I hope you all find some time to relax and soak in the well-deserved appreciation this week.”
This recognition week is sponsored by the American School Counselor Association, to highlight the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
“In celebration of National School Counseling Week, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering commitment to our students' well-being and success,” said Alaina Sivadasan, executive director of Equity and Student Well-Being. “Your dedication, compassion, and tireless efforts make a lasting impact on our school community, and I am truly thankful to have such a dedicated team of counselors. Your role is indispensable, and your contributions do not go unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do.”
