VOICE Mentor Spotlight: Miki Oh and Brylee

If asked to name the best part of their day, most elementary students might mention lunch or recess. For Sunny Hills Elementary student Brylee, it's meeting with her VOICE mentor, Miki Oh. For nearly two years, the two have met each Monday to talk, read, work on homework or play a game together. Through it all, they have developed a close friendship benefitting mentor and mentee alike. Reflecting on the experience, Miki said, "Every kid needs another adult in their lives that is just there for them, and even though it's just a small amount of time, its got a big place in my life."
