4320 - Distribution of Materials and Promotions

The District recognizes that organizations may want to access its resources to promote events, organize fundraising activities, distribute materials to students, families, and staff or other information. The District is legally committed to using its public resources, including communication systems, to pursue its educational mission. Access to District resources, therefore, will be in accordance with promoting social, recreational or educational value for students and providing equal access to organizations based on their alignment with the educational mission.

All printed material, papers, signs, leaflets, flyers, and brochures, electronic messages, yard signs, reader-board messages, live presentations, or any other requests to distribute information from non-school organizations in any form must be approved by the superintendent or their designee prior to distribution.

Student and district employee organizations are considered school agencies for purposes of this policy.
