Full-Time Program
- High school students take all online courses for various reasons:
- Learning Style
- Medical Reasons
- Extracurriculars
- Location – Alternative Learning Experience (ALE) - within school schedule, no cost
- Term length – Semesters
- Diploma – graduate of local, home high school
- Flexibility – drop in tutoring/support sessions available at Admin Learning Center
- Enrollment – any student who lives with the ISD District
Part-Time Program
- Students take up to two online courses each semester for various reasons:
- Acceleration course not offered
- In-person
- Credit deficiency
- Credit recovery
- Grade Improvement
- Home-based learning
- Learning style
- Medical reasons
- Private school
- Location – Within school schedule or in addition to school schedule
- Term Length – Semesters
- Credit Maximum – 1.0 credit per semester/8.0 credits total
- Diploma – Graduate of local high school
- Enrollment – Any student who attends an ISD middle or high school
Since 2012, Online Learning has served students in grades 5-12 who reside in Issaquah School District. We provide students with an opportunity to take high school level, middle school level and elementary school level courses online. The flexibility of our Online Learning program empowers students to take control of their learning in an asynchronous (self-directed) environment. To help facilitate the learning process and provide support, students are assigned to a Washington state certified teacher and an ISD mentor, while also having access to online tutors and their ISD counselor.

Carrie Reckling – Coordinator
Carrie Reckling has been part of the Issaquah School District since 2002, serving mostly as a Spanish teacher, Ed Tech coach, school administrator, and now Online Learning Coordinator. Carrie loves using technology to help students thrive and support teachers in their work. When she's not online, you’ll find her exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her husband, three teenagers, and their sweet dog, Stella.
Kelly Albertelli – Registrar
Kelly started with the Issaquah School District in the Fall of 2025, moving from eastern Washington. She grew up in Southern California but has called Washington her home for the past ten years. Her previous experience was mostly in college admissions and registration. She loves her new role and the opportunity to support our students. When she is not working, she enjoys reading, spending time with family, friends and her two cats, and traveling/exploring new places.
Antoinette Fox – Math/CTE Teacher and Mentor
Antoinette Fox has been an educator in Issaquah Schools for over 6 years and an online learning mentor for the past couple years. She loves spending all her spare time with her family and going on road trips, mainly to Disneyland. She supports the online program with test proctoring, re-engagement, online mentor, and teaching math.
Cristina Uramis – Spanish/MLL/PE/
Health Teacher and Mentor
Cristina Uramis began her teaching career in California and now serves as a Spanish, Physical Education, and Multilingual Learner (MLL) teacher and mentor in the Online Learning Program. She has been part of the Issaquah School District since 2002 and brings a dedication to student growth and learning. Outside the classroom, Cristina enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking, and maintaining an active lifestyle.
Kaito Shaw – Online Learning TOSA
Kaito Shaw has been part of the Issaquah School District since 2014. She has served in multiple roles, including as a biology teacher, on-time graduation specialist, a building Ed Tech Lead, and now as the Online Learning TOSA. She loves working one on one with students to find their own unique path to success, whatever that may look like for them. She enjoys spending her free time playing music, on the soccer field, or enjoying the outdoors with her husband, two children, and their dog, Murphy.
