Credit Requirements
The state requires students to earn a minimum of 24 credits in specified subject areas to graduate from high school. School districts can establish credit requirements that exceed the minimum number established by the state. A student's graduation requirements are assigned by the projected year of graduation when they enter 9th grade. The specific subject area credit requirements necessary to earn an Issaquah School District diploma are listed below.
NOTE: earning a high school diploma may not automatically result in also meeting minimum college entrance requirements. The State of Washington establishes minimum college entrance requirements, known as College Academic Distribution Requirements (CADRs) for all WA public colleges and universities - these CADRs are also described in this chart, and in more detail below. Minimum entrance requirements can vary by college/university, and meeting the minimums alone does not ensure admission. Visit a college or university's admissions website to learn all specific application and entrance requirements for that particular school.
In Issaquah School District, the following total credits are needed to graduate, including the specific subject-area requirements below:
- Class of 2025 at Liberty High School: 25.0 credits
- Class of 2025 at Issaquah High School, Skyline High School, and Echo Glen School: 24.0 credits
