Learning Ally

Learning Ally is an audiobook solution that provides students who struggle to read, due to a reading deficit, equitable access to all the books they need to and want to read, including curriculum-aligned textbooks and literature, popular fiction, and more. With an extensive library of human-read audiobooks and a suite of educator tools and resources, Learning Ally helps struggling readers become engaged, independent learners.

Who is Eligible?
The Learning Ally Audiobook Solution is a proven supplemental resource designed to help struggling readers reach their potential. By offering students the use of human-read audiobooks coupled with highlighted text, educators can help their K-12 students whether they are learning to read or reading to learn.
The Learning Ally Audiobook Solution is an important resource for students who demonstrate any of the following:

  • Struggles with decoding
  • Struggles with fluency
  • Struggles with reading comprehension
  • Blind or visually impaired or a physical disability that prevents them from reading standard print

Children displaying any of these issues that prevent them from keeping up with students at their grade level or reading content at a level comparable to other students in the class may qualify for Learning Ally Audiobook Solution. An IEP or 504 is not required.

Eligibility for Learning Ally can be provided by a teacher or school professional. If you feel your child may be eligible for Learning Ally, please contact your child's English Language Arts or Classroom teacher.
