Enrollment

The documents listed below will need to be uploaded during the registration process or brought into the school office.  Please contact your school if you have any questions. 

• Residence Verification Form
• Proof of Birth (examples include Birth Certificate or Passport)
• Residence Verification – Provide one of the following: Property Tax Statement, Mortgage Statement, Homeowners Insurance Policy, Current Lease/Rental Agreement, Renters Insurance Policy, Current Utility or Cable bill, Documents from Public Agencies (e.g. DSHS, Court). 
• Medically verified Certificate of Immunization Status (CIS) 
• Guardian Photo ID (bring into the school or upload to the application)
• Custody/Court Order (if applicable)
• Restraining Order (if applicable)
• Prior School Records (if applicable)

The State of Washington requires a completed Certificate of Immunization (CIS) that is medically verified or Certificate of Exemption on file prior to your child beginning school per WAC-246-105-030. 

Here are some examples of medically verified immunization records with links for your convenience:

• A completed Certificate of Immunization Status (CIS) signed by a health care provider.
• A CIS filled out by you or another parent/guardian with medical records attached.
• A CIS printed by a health care provider or school from the Washington State Immunization Information System.
• A CIS printed from MyIR which is a free Department of Health online tool that allows families to view and print their official immunization records themselves. Go to MyIR Mobile to begin the sign-up process.

If you are requesting an exemption from one or more of the immunization requirements, you must provide the school a completed Certificate of Exemption.

The Issaquah School District may only enroll students whose Parent(s) or Guardian(s) reside within school district boundaries, unless an Inter-district Transfer form has been accepted by the district prior to enrollment. For cases in which residency is in question, school officials can investigate by making a home visit. Residency verification is a parent responsibility and falsification of information provided during this process will be grounds for immediate cancellation of enrollment. Families must notify the Issaquah School District in writing within five (5) school days following any change of residency

Students should live within the attendance boundary of a school in order to enroll. To verify which school your student will attend, based on your home address, please contact our Transportation department at 425-837-6330 or email transportation-Enews@issaquah.wednet.edu with your home address to determine your school.

If a student in the District wants to attend a school outside of their neighborhood attendance boundary, a request for an in-district transfer must be submitted for consideration each year during the "Open Enrollment" period. Students are automatically placed in their grade level based on their Date of Birth

If a student is transferring from another school, the parent or guardian must give their consent to transfer records from the student’s previous school. Parents will need the name, address, and phone number of the previous school to upload into the application. 

Students transferring from another school should have their academic records to upload. The application will also ask if the student has been in any special programs in their previous school.

Google has decided to discontinue the availability of the Google Translate Toolkit, which has enabled families to translate the New Student Enrollment process into other languages. 

Families can still use built-in or add-on translation features of their preferred browser to translate the New Student Enrollment application into other languages. For more information on these browser features, please refer to the articles below:
