Family Access

Skyward Password Update:

Skyward is elevating requirements for strong passwords for all users of Skyward. As of April 19, 2023, the Minimum Password Length option will be updated to no longer accept a value less than 8 characters long.

What to Expect:
All users with a password fewer than 8 characters in length will be prompted to create a new password when they log in for the first time on or after April 19, 2023.

All users logging into Skyward must adhere to the password requirements. If your current password does not meet the requirements, you will be prompted to create a new password.

  • All passwords are case sensitive
  • All passwords must include a special character
  • Password length must be 8 characters or more

If you cannot remember your newly created password, use the ‘Forgot Login ID/Password?’ link on the login screen and enter your Login ID or email address.  You will then receive an email with your Login ID and a link to reset your password. Family Access and Student Access accounts do not lock after incorrect password attempts, so please try again or reset your password if it is not working. Family Access gives parents/guardians and students online access to student information, including test scores, attendance, class schedules, report cards, and immunization records.

Your Login ID will be the first 5 characters of your last name, the first 3 characters of your first name, and 3 numbers. If your last name is fewer than 5 characters long or your first name is less than 3 character long, you will need to add spaces for those remaining characters in the Login ID. If you have forgotten your password, go to the login page and click on "Forgot Login/Password." Enter your username or email address and you will be emailed a link to reset your password. If you do not have an email address on file, please contact your student's school for assistance.

Important: Please make sure that your e-mail address in Family Access is correct. Besides being used to e-mail your password if you forget, every fall those e-mails are uploaded into school and district Weekly Bulletin lists. It's one channel the district will use to contact parents in an emergency and a way teachers are able to get information to correspond with parents about their student. You can update your e-mail address once you login to Family Access by clicking on "account information."

Teachers are required to post grade updates eight times per year at high school and six times per year at middle school, in alignment with semester and trimester reporting dates. More frequent updates might be made at the professional discretion of the teacher and may depend on the nature of the curriculum. That means there may be more frequent updates in some of classes than in others.


Google has decided to discontinue the availability of the Google Translate Toolkit, which has enabled families to translate Family Access into other languages.

Family Access is unavailable at scheduled times throughout the school year for routine maintenance. 

Regularly scheduled maintenance is done between 12:01 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on the following days.
