Community Preschool Program

Early Childhood Education (ECE)

The Issaquah School District provides a Community Preschool Program designed for children of all abilities to learn side by side in a supportive environment.

Who Can Enroll

• Children must be 3 years old and not yet 5
• Community preschoolers follow a typical pattern of early development
• Currently live within the boundaries of Issaquah School District. Attendance Map

Program Features

• Classes are offered at Briarwood Elementary, Discovery Elementary, and Holly Street Early Learning Center ECE sites
• Sessions include morning or afternoon preschool
• Community preschoolers are enrolled on a first‑come, first‑served basis
• Enrollment is open throughout the school year, depending on availability

Additional Information

• Classes include children with special needs, and are staffed with a Special Education Certificated ECE Teacher
• District Transportation is not provided

Program Schedule

• Classes meet Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
• The program follows a modified schedule aligned with the Issaquah School District calendar

 

Preschool Options

Sessions include half-day (morning or afternoon) preschool.

Briarwood Elementary & Discovery Elementary

• Morning (a.m.) Class: 9:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
• Afternoon (p.m.) Class: 12:45 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Holly Street Early Learning Center

• Morning (a.m.) Class: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
• Afternoon (p.m.) Class: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Tuition: 

• Morning or Afternoon Only (Part-Day Program): $475/month — 3 hours/day, 4 days/week (12 hours/week; 48 hours/month)
  Approximately $9.90/hour
• Scholarships are available to qualifying families through an application process.
