Thank you for your interest in summer school programs in the Issaquah School District.

Please select the grade level appropriate for your student below for complete information on summer school offerings.

Important Reminder:

Hello ISD Families!

Friendly reminder that In-Person Summer School will be closing their application entries on June 20 at 3:00 p.m. We will not be accepting any applications after this. 

FAQ’s:

  • What if I miss the deadline, can I still apply?
    • In-Person Summer School application closes on June 20, 3:00 p.m. and will not be accepting applications past this date/time.  Please reach out to your school counselor in August for their guidance on how to retake a class.
  • I have entered an application but have not been contacted yet, is my student still eligible for In-Person Summer School?
    • Yes, as long as the application was submitted before 3:00 p.m. on June 20, your student will be enrolled in Summer School.  We thank you for your patience.  We will be reaching out shortly.
  • My student no longer wants to attend Summer School, who do I contact?
    • Please contact the In-Person Summer School Registrar.

ISD In-Person Summer School Staff

In-Person

In-Person High School Summer School is for students who:

  • Failed a course(s)/need credit recovery
  • Did not take WA State History/NW Studies
  • Are incoming 9th graders enrolling in Pre-Algebra
  • Are Multilingual Learners
  • Are struggling to fit PE into their class schedule during the school year

Online

Online Summer School is for students in grades 5-12 who want to:

  • Grade improve (D or higher) a high school level course
  • Accelerate their current math or science pathway (restrictions apply)
  • Take a course not offered in building during the school year
  • Accrue a 0.5-1.0 credit to free up space in their school schedule 
  • Take a course based on learning style

Summer School Announcements

Middle and high school students may be eligible to take online or in-person courses this summer to accelerate, improve grade(s), recover credit, take a course or courses not offered in the building, or free up space in their school schedule. Current fifth grade students (entering sixth grade in the 2024-25 school year) may enroll.
