Summer School

Thank you for your interest in summer school programs in the Issaquah School District.

Please select the grade level appropriate for your student below for complete information on summer school offerings.

In-Person

In-Person Summer Program is designed for:

  • High school students needing credit recovery (students who failed a course)
  • Students who need to complete WA State History
  • Incoming 9th graders enrolling in Bridge to Algebra
  • Students with an IEP or 504 Plan seeking grade improvement
  • Students who need to complete PE due to scheduling conflicts during the school year

Note: This program is open to students in grades 9-12 who are enrolled in ISD during the 2025-26 school year. Incoming 9th graders may enroll in Bridge to Algebra only.

Program Details:

  • Dates: July 6-31, 2026
  • Schedule: 5 day per week (Monday-Friday) Format: In-person only (no remote or livestream option)
  • Location: Issaquah High School

Cost:

  • $425 per course
  • Scholarships available (email McGowanJ@issaquah.wednet.edu after registration)
  • Incoming 9th grade Bridge to Algebra – FREE

Class Schedule:

  • 1st Period: 8:00 a.m. - 9:20 a.m.
  • Breakfast: 9:20 a.m. - 9:35 a.m.
  • 2nd Period: 9:35 a.m. - 10:55 a.m.
  • 3rd Period: 11:05 a.m. - 12:25 p.m.

Students may enroll in up to three summer school courses.

Preferred class times are not a guarantee.

Bridge to Algebra spans across 1st and 2nd periods.

Online

Online Summer School is for students in grades 5-12 who want to:

  • Take a course based on learning style
  • Accelerate their current middle school math or science pathway (restrictions apply)
  • Accrue 0.5 credit to free up space in their school schedule

Online Course Offerings

  • Health (grades 8-12)
  • Introduction to Culinary Arts (grades 9-12) - 0.5 CTE credit
  • Introduction to Computer Sciences (grades 9-12) - 0.5 CTE credit
  • Future Ready (grades 9-12) - 0.5 CTE credit
  • 5th grade and middle school level courses (grades 5-8)

Online Details

*Students in Online Health may have to go in person to take their CPR/AED class to earn their certification card.

Summer School Announcements

ISD Summer School 2026 offers flexible in-person and online learning opportunities to help students recover credits, meet graduation requirements, or get ahead in a supportive, focused environment. With classes running July 6–31 at Issaquah High School and select online courses available, families can explore options that best fit their student’s academic goals.
